CALF RATIONS / KALFRANTSOENE
Growing replacement heifers is one of the most difficult and critical aspects of dairy farming.
During this phase the animal’s rumen develops from a single stomach into a ruminant system. Rumen development and rapid growth without fat deposition in the udder tissue by the use of high quality protein rations is the goal during this phase
Following Sernick’s optimal calf programme allows replacement heifers to develop their full genetic potential.
