Sernick’s Phase C Bull Testing Centre was the first computerised test centre of its kind in South Africa. Over the past 20 years, approximately 50% of the total number of bulls tested in South Africa were tested here. Sernick can rightfully be regarded as a leader in Phase D and C testing. Over the past 10 years, a growth ration containing good protein, energy, trace elements, and vitamins was developed to ensure maximum performance. Phase C HPC was developed for the farmer who produces their own hay and maize.

FEEDING RECOMMENDATION:

Adapt the animals by offering 3 kg of feed per animal on day 1, then increase the intake by 0.5 kg per day until they are feeding ad lib. During the adjustment period, ensure the animals have ad lib access to hay. This product is also ideal for finishing stud bulls for auctions or shows, as it promotes skeletal and muscular development. For more information and advice, kindly consult the Sernick technical staff.

FORM AND PACKAGING:

Meal is available in 50 kg bags.

WARNING:

This animal feed contains an NPN source and/or registered medicaments. Feeding should be done strictly according to directions.

UREA POISONING GUIDE

WARNING

  • These animal feeds contain urea and other NPN sources. Pellets should be fed strictly according to the directions for use.

  • Animals that are not adapted to urea rations must be fed a salt-phosphate lick for seven (7) days prior to feeding urea rations. Vinegar is an effective antidote for NPN poisoning. Mix equal parts of vinegar and water and dose half a bottle per calf or large sheep and 2–4 bottles per head of cattle (1 bottle = 750ml).

  • Protect feed from rain as NPN can dissolve in water. Animals that consume this contaminated mixture can be poisoned.

  • Do not offer this feed indiscriminately with other feeds that contain NPN.

Contact the Sernick technical staff for further information and enquiries.
