How Will COVID-19 Affect Sernick

***BELANGRIK***

#flattenthecurve #Covid19

***IMPORTANT***
All Sernick operations will continue as normal because we form part of the food value chain – this includes Feeds, Feedlot, Abattoir and Country Meat and Roots shops.

All training has been suspended until further notice, and the Boeredag of 1 May 2020 has been cancelled. Information about the auction will communicated in due course.

Let’s take the bull by the horns!  #flattenthecurve #Covid19

UREA POISONING GUIDE

WARNING

  • These animal feeds contain urea and other NPN sources. Pellets should be fed strictly according to the directions for use.

  • Animals that are not adapted to urea rations must be fed a salt-phosphate lick for seven (7) days prior to feeding urea rations. Vinegar is an effective antidote for NPN poisoning. Mix equal parts of vinegar and water and dose half a bottle per calf or large sheep and 2–4 bottles per head of cattle (1 bottle = 750ml).

  • Protect feed from rain as NPN can dissolve in water. Animals that consume this contaminated mixture can be poisoned.

  • Do not offer this feed indiscriminately with other feeds that contain NPN.

Contact the Sernick technical staff for further information and enquiries.
